I Am So Embarrassed

It's about 8:30 on Sunday morning and I would love to sleep a little more but of course my 3 year old has different plans.

I am taking Maddie to American Girl Doll Bingo this afternoon and we are both very excited. It sounds like a lot of fun and the proceeds are going to a great cause.

I am really hoping that today is a better day for me then yesterday. I am so embarrassed to even type this. I actually ate 2/3's of a bag of peanut m&m's. I don't usually have them in the house but I bought them for a recipe I wanted to make. Unfortunately I forgot one of the other ingredients so there I was stuck with a medium sized bag of peanut m&m's.

It was snowing pretty hard yesterday and I didn't want to drive in it to go to the store. So throughout the day I snacked on them until the bag was almost empty and I felt sick.

After I felt sick I kept wondering why I did this to myself. It obviously was not worth it. I felt discusting and I ate way to many calories.

It was just a bad day all around. I planned to take the girls to the pumpkin patch yesterday but our plans were canceled because of the snow. After cleaning and catching up from the week I just wanted to get out of the house. It was really snowing hard so I decided it would be safer to stay home.

Not being able to leave the house left me feeling very down. It just didn't make for a good day. So while I was feeling down I decided to eat everything in sight.

I still can't believe I did it. I haven't had a binge day in months. It really upsets me because last Thur. When I weighed in I was at 188.6! I am finally back in the 180's and I really hope I didn't ruin that yesterday.

Today is a new day! I'm going to forget what happened yesterday and focus on doing better today.

How do you get back on track after a day full of binging?

The Best Breakfast Ever!!!

I really think I had the best breakfast I have ever had and it was healthy! It is called "jammed with cheese stuffed french toast". It was so yummy that I forgot to take a picture of it. As you can tell by the picture I thoroughly enjoyed it. :). Now I am stuffed and ready to head off to work. I am working late because we have a Halloween parade tonight. That meant I got to spend a little time with my little one this morning.

Here is the great breakfast recipe from Hungy Girl:

Jammed with Cheese Stuffed French Toast:
Hungry Girl 1-2-3 Cookbook

Ingredients:

1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 slices light white bread

2 TBSP Sugar free strawberry preserve
2 tsp. Light whipped butter
1/4 cup sugar free pancake syrup

Directions:

Mix egg sub. W/ cinnamon and vanilla. Transfer to a plate.

Lay bread on a clean dry surface and spread half of cheese on each side. Place preserves on one slice over cheese and place together like a sandwich.

Bring skillet sprayed with cooking spray to med. Heat. Add butter and allow to coat pan. Evenly coat both sides of bread and edges with egg mixture. You won't use all of mixture.

Place sandwich in skillet and cook for 2-4 min. On each side until golden brown.

Yoplait and Sam's Club Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was asked to review Yoplait Yogurt from Sam's Club through MyBlogSpark. I'm sure many of you know that I am not a huge yogurt fan. I do enjoy yogurt every once in a while and I have a few brands and flavors that I really enjoy.

Yoplait is definitely one of them. One of my favorite Yoplait yogurts is Key Lime Pie. I have enjoyed that flavor for years. I think Yoplait's Key Lime Pie is the most refreshing yogurt that exists. My second favorite would definitely be Boston Cream Pie. It doesn't taste exactly like a Boston Cream Pie but it is still delicious. I actually enjoyed one last week with my lunch. :)

I am very excited that Yoplait and Sam's club are hosting a Giveaway on my blog. They will be giving one of my readers the same thing they gave me. A $40.00 gift card to Sam's Club/Walmart. Who couldn't use an extra $40???

I Filmed a Commercial!

It's been way too long since I have given you an update. I have been crazy busy with work and my family that I have barely had any time to even breathe. I'm really exhausted now so this is going to be a short post.

I have been busy with a lot of events with my job. I love what I do and I absolutely love my job but right now I am exhausted and sick. Not a good combination. I did however get to film my first commercial. It was pretty awesome. I even did a little dance at the end (of course not realizing they were still taping). It was hysterical and definitely a great experience. I will post it on here when I get a copy of it.

Here is a picture before I started. Not the best picture but I like it anyway. :)

I have a really great charity event coming up in the very near future that I am also working on. So much work but so much fun. Sometimes I find myself complaining about the long hours but then I realize how blessed I am to be able to be in a position like this and be able to help others. It really is a dream come true to me and I need to keep reminding myself of this every time I get tired.

I also got a piano this week. We are all really excited about this. It is an old used piano but it works and I am thrilled that the girls are going to be able to take lessons. I think I may even get back into playing. It's been about 10 years since I have played and I would love to learn it again. I took lessons in college and it was so much fun.

I was so busy this week that I didn't even track my Points several days. Three days to be exact. I know I didn't do horrible but I decided to just use all of my points for those days and use all of my extra weekly points. I was playing it safe.

At last weeks weigh in I lost 1. 8 pounds (I think). This week I am down to 190.2. I didn't do as well as I would have liked but it is also that time of the month so I am happy to have lost. Next week I will definitely be in the 190's. It will be the first time and a very long time and I am thrilled to say that it is really going to happen this time.

I am enjoying doing Weight Watchers again and it is really working to keep me on track.

I will try to keep you updated a little more as this week goes on. I need to sleep now so that I can get up in the morning for work. ;)

Have a great night!

Betty Crocker Review and Giveaway

The great giveaway I am able to offer you is from Betty Crocker. This is a review you don't want to miss....

I know that cookies are not healthy for you but I still couldn't resist the offer from Betty Crocker and MyBlogSpark to try Betty Crocker's new Molasses cookies. Everything is ok in moderation, right? ;)

Betty Crocker sent me an awesome gift pack that included a package of their new Molasses cookies. I am not really a fan of boxed or bagged cookie mixes but I decided to give them a try. I do love molasses cookies but the only ones that I like are my Mom's homemade ones.

Boy was I in for a treat when I baked up these babies and they tasted just as good if not better then my Mom's. They were really that good. They were so soft and chewy. So, so good! I will never ever make homemade molasses cookies when these cookies are so easy to make and taste so good.

The only thing I did differently then the directions called for was I rolled them in balls before baking. The directions call for drop cookies. I just wanted to make them look pretty. Here are some pictures of the process.

There Are Five Ways To Enter to win the Betty Crocker Prize Pack (from Betty Crocker and MyBlogSpark): The prize pack includes a baking sheet (shown above), a really cool spatula, a red Betty Crocker Apron (that I wear quite frequently) and a bag of cookie mix.

1. Leave a comment sharing with me your favorite cookie.

2. For a second entry post on your blog about this contest and include a link to my blog and post the link in the comment section.

3. For a third entry become a follower. If you are already a follower just leave that in the comment section.

4. For a fourth entry add my button to your blog and post the link in a comment below.

1st Week Update

Just a quick update on my first week of Weight Watchers. I went to a Craft Festival on Saturday and ate things I shouldn't have but honestly I didn't do horrible. I used all of my points for the day plus some of my extra points for the week. I didn't use all of my extra points so I would say that it was a success.

Today was much better then yesterday. I spent most of the day cleaning so I didn't have much time to think about eating. What killed me today was the cake I made for dessert. I don't usually make cakes or dessert in general but I had my Dad over for dinner so of course I had to make dessert. ;)

I only went over by 5 point today. I was happy with that. As you can see I didn't eat any meat today. Since I made an unhealthy meal for dinner (I don't usually do this) tonight I decided to stick with the butternut squash and broccoli. It was awesome and I didn't feel deprived at all.

Weekends are always so hard. How was your weekend? Were you able to stay on track?

Bacon or Dog Treats???

I did it! I finally rejoined Weight Watchers. I thought I would dread doing it but honestly I am really excited about it. I made the decision yesterday and I think it was the right one. I has become quite apparent to me that I can't do it on my own. I didn't start off doing it on my own last time so I'm not really sure why I thought I could this time. I guess I was just being stubborn. :)

Yesterday I did well tracking my points and eating healthy. I was a little hungry when I went to bed and then ended up getting up in the middle of the night and ate 3 Fiber One Brownies and a few Amy's organic crackers. I seem to have this problem every time I start being strict. I am going to fight the urge to get up and eat tonight.

Here is what I ate the past two days. I love that I can just copy and paste my log on here.

This is what the veggie bacon looked like. When I saw it I was very skeptical. It actually looks disgusting. More like a dog treat then bacon. I decided to make a bacon sandwich with it this morning. My Mimi used to make bacon sandwiches for me when I was little and I have always loved them. But of course my Mimi used the real butter and real bacon to make her butter sandwiches. Yum! Boy do I miss those day and my Mimi. :(

I made the Pudget Bacon Sandwich and I am thrilled to tell you that it was awesome! Not quite the same as my Mimi's but definitely a good substitute. :) I used 4 slices of Morningstar Veggie bacon and 2 slices of Weight Watchers toast with a little spray butter.

Even though the bacon looked like a dog treat it was actually really good and very low in points. I am definitely going to be using this veggie bacon in a lot of my cooking. It will make my meals so much healthier.

This next picture is tonight's dinner. I made a baked sweet potato with spray butter, Stevia, and Cinnamon. I also made green beans and I grilled a bag of Gortons shrimp. It was amazing shrimp. I would definitely recommend buying a bag when it is on sale.

Now I am getting ready to go to sleep. I had an exhausting week at work and I am ready to get some good sleep. If my nephew isn't sick tomorrow I will be going to the covered bridge festival to check out all of the great arts and crafts. I just need to watch out for awesome tasting food.

Wish me luck! :)

Still Struggling

Surprise, Surprise! I'm still struggling. I feel like I have written this same post a hundred times but again I am still not making any progress. I am at 193 and holding strong. Not is a good way. ;)

How can having such a busy life make things so much harder. I am trying. Really I am. I just always seem to ruin all of my efforts by having a few tired days where I just don't care. I thought things would get easier for me to lose weight as the weeks past and I got more used to being back to work. I guess I was wrong. It's been a good 6 weeks since I started and I really am not making any progress. I am only down 2 pounds in 6 weeks.

I am actually thinking about joining Weight Watchers online again. What do you think??? I used WW online when I first started losing weight almost 3 years ago and I loved it. I am just ready to try anything right now.

My sister Heather has challenged me to another "Pudget Sisters Weight Loss Contest". We started last Friday and I am losing big time. If you know me you know that I don't like to lose! ;) I think she weighs about 5 pounds less then me right now and our contest is to see which one of us can make it to 170 first. That means I am behind by five pounds. I really need to get my butt moving. I will post more details about our contest and prizes in the next few days.

As for Weight Watchers I really think that tomorrow is going to be my joining day or should I say Rejoining day. How many of you have had success with Weight Watchers in the past?
