The only good part about waking up early this morning was that I stepped on the scale and weighed 191.2. I'm getting there! Almost in the 180's.
Tomorrow I have to work a few hours because we are putting on a fashion show in the mall. I spent a lot of my time the past few days working on it and I am really excited to see it tomorrow. We have some great giveaways and I can't wait to see the winner's faces! It's going to be so much fun!
I cooked another crockpot meal for dinner tonight. I put it together last night and kept it in the fridge overnight and plugged it in this morning. It was crockpot lasagna and it was awesome! I found a recipe in a Southern Living cookbook and my whole family loved it. It wasn't meant to be a crockpot recipe but I figured it would probably work. It had 1lb lean hamburger, 12 oz fat free cottage cheese, an egg, 2 cups of 2% mozzarella cheese, a big bag of frozen chopped spinach, 1 jar of spaghetti sauce ( I used 1 1/2 jars) , garlic powder and lasagna noodles(broken up). I cooked the hamburger last night and then mixed it with everything else and then put it the fridge. It was nice to not have to boil the noodles. I will definitely make this recipe again!
It's 8 pm and I am exhausted and ready for bed. I think it's story time with the girls and then time to go to sleep. I must really be getting old. :)

I started a new job. I am now the Marketing Manager of a mall! My first day of work was yesterday and I am very excited be back in the Marketing field. I have been a stay-at-home Mom for the past 4 years and loved every second of it but it is now time for me to join the workforce again.
The way that God has worked throughout this entire situation has amazed me. I can't share all of the details but my family and I have had so many miracles happen in the past week that it is still hard for me to believe. God is so good!
Although I haven't blogged much I haven't given up on my weight loss. I weighed in at 192 this morning when I stepped on the scale. I am so excited to see my weight continuing to go down. I am hoping to be in the 180's by next week! :)
I had to buy new work clothes this past weekend since I haven't worked out of the home in about 4 years. I definitely did not enjoy shopping for my new work wardrobe and it wasn't just because of the screaming 3 year old the whole time I shopped.
It is so hard to gain weight and then have to go shopping for clothes. I still remember what I looked like 25 pounds lighter and how great I felt. I guess my shopping trip will just be my incentive to work harder to lose the weight.
I ended up buying mostly size 14 pants but I did have to get some 16's. I think the dress I bought was a size 16. It's so sad because last summer I was wearing mostly 12's and some 10's. Oh how I wish I wouldn't have gained so much weight.
Now that I am back to work I have another set of issues to deal with. I now have to worry about what to take for breakfast and lunch everyday and what to cook quickly for dinner each night. I am not enjoying having to pack a lunch every night for the next day. Although it's a little time consuming when I am exhausted at night it does seem to work well. I have been enjoying my healthy lunch each day and they have been extremely filling.
Dinners are definitely difficult when you are tired and have a hungry husband and two hungry little girls. Although it would be very easy to go out to dinner each night I am trying to save money by cooking at home. I planned out my menu (by going through my freezer, fridge and pantry) for the next 2 weeks. I typed it into my calender on my iPhone and now I am set. If only the meals cooked themselves. :)
I do have an alert pop up on my phone each night to remind me what I need to take out of the freezer the night before. So far it has worked well but becomes very tiring when you add soccer two days a week into the mix. By the time we are done eating the last think I want to do is clean up the leftovers, wash the dishes and run the dishwasher.
Then it's on to preparing the food and clothes for the next day. I think it is just going to take some time to get into a routine and get used to things. I know that many of you also work outside the home. If you have any suggestions on how to make it run more smoothly I would love to hear them. :)

I did however promise to give you an update on my weight this morning. I was so excited when I got on the scale. When I stepped on the scale I weighed 194.8 pounds. So much better then the 197 pounds I was at on Friday. I'm thrilled that this past week didn't damage my weight loss efforts too much.
I think the water really did help! I am going to continue to drink a lot of water. Not only will it help me to lose weight but it also seems to make me feel better.

It made for a super busy week when combined with the normal day to day activities and soccer practice starting up.
I didn't run at all for the past week and a half. I had no time or energy left to get on the treadmill. I am hoping to be able to get back into it this week. I need to get back to writing my Running Skirts Monday posts.
Not only did I not run but I also didn't do a great job at eating healthy. I was so busy that I just ate whatever was available without worrying about how good or bad it was for me. I didn't binge. I just wasn't careful. It's not a great excuse but sometimes being exhausted can make you lose all motivation to care about eating healthy.
I plan to get back on track as of today. I even resisted the donuts at Bible Study this morning. :) Honestly I had my coffee and I was happy with that. I am hoping the past week didn't completely ruin the weight I had lost. I was down to 194 but as of Friday I was up to 197. I will give you an update tomorrow morning when I step on the scale again.
I am sick of the ups and downs. I am ready to just have downs with maybe and occasional up. :) It's time to get serious. It's time to get back to planning, cooking healthy and really watching my portions.
My main focus this week is going to be to drink lots of water. That always seemed to help in the past. The more I drank, the more I lost. It probably just made me feel fuller but it worked. I'm going to give it a try. Of course I am going to work on everything else but water will be my main priority for the week.
