I have to say that this has been a really good week for me. I planned on exercising every day which I didn't do but I did exercise five days out of the week. This is definitely an improvement for me. It really felt good to exercise. I got the Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred DVD this week (click here to enter my giveaway) and I have done it three days in a row. I wasn't really sure if I would be able to do it today because I am in so much pain from yesterdays workout but I was able to do it. Level 1 has not gotten any easier yet. I am wondering if it ever will. The hardest part for me is in the beginning when you have to do jumping jacks then jumping rope then back to jumping jacks and then jumping rope again. I find myself so out of breath that I think I may have an asthma attack. I hope this part starts getting easier soon. It is a tough video but when I am done with that 20minutes I feel so good. Sweaty but good :).
I drank a ton of water this week. This has definitely become a habit for me which is good because I usually can go a day on only 12 ounces of water. Seriously, I usually don't ever feel thirsty. It not a good thing.
I ate fairly well this week. I had a few moments where I ate to much. I went to two birthday parties this week and I only ate 1/2 a piece of cake. I shouldn't have had any but my daughter took a piece and didn't touch it and I felt bad wasting it. Not a good excuse. Next time I will throw it away. I also went out to a steakhouse for dinner this week. My husband got a little bonus on his check and wanted to celebrate so of course I couldn't say no ;). He wanted to go to Red Robin for some juicy cheeseburgers and fries but I was able to talk him into Logan's instead. To make a long story short our meal took over an hour to cook and we ended up getting it for free with out even saying anything about the wait. Unfortunately it was after 8pm, I was starving, and they kept bringing us the most delicious buttered rolls I have ever tasted. That and they have peanuts on the table. So I ate 3 rolls drenched in butter (sorry if I am making you hungry :) )and about 10 peanuts. Not to bad for the amount of time we waited but boy did those rolls hurt my points for the week. My meal was a grilled salmon Cesar salad (lite on the Cesar dressing). It was wonderful and I have been craving it ever since. Can't wait to go back!
On the up side I did track all of my points for the week. I used all of my points every day plus all of my extra weekly points and almost all of my exercise points. I ended up with 1.5 points left. I guess I ate more then I realized this week.
I did have trouble with eating veggies again. I'm not sure why. I really love veggies but I just didn't seem to eat many of them.
And the moment you have all been waiting for. I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 207 pounds :(. How did this happen? I gained a pound. I really thought I did good this week. I stayed within my weekly points and I exercised a lot. I am a little disappointed with the number but to tell you the truth I am really excited about the way I feel. I actually feel like I look better this week and I just feel good all around. I am proud of myself for tracking and sticking to my points and really making myself exercise even when I didn't want to do it. I think it is the exercise that is making me feel great. I am doing the 30 day Shred DVD and the wii fit. Let me tell you that 10 minutes of hula hooping is not as easy as it sounds :).
All and All I feel this was a good week. Yeah I gained a pound but I am not giving up yet. I hope it makes me push harder next week.
Goals for the week:
1. Lose some weight!
2. Eat more veggies.
3. Track my points every day.
4. Stay within my points and not use as many extra weekly and exercise points. I am going away for the weekend so I think it is going to be hard but I am going to do it.
5. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
6. Drink lots of water.
